10th October 2018 Rotract Club Ms. Falguni Mathews Since 1988, the 11th of October every years is celebrated as World Coming Out Day. The initial idea to celebrate this day was to lay emphasis on the basic form of activism, i.e. coming out to friends, family and colleagues and living kife as an openly gay or lesbian person. With the Supreme Court, legalizing homosexuality in India this year, it was important to create awareness regarding the pressure one goes through while coming out. In order to achieve this a silent skit was performed in the quadrangle of the college, involving 6 members as performers. 2018-2019

We had 3 garba teachers to come and teach various garba steps to the students. 29th September 2018 Rotract Club Ms. Falguni Mathews As Indian railways took an initiative of cleaning railway stations across India on account of 150th birthday of Mahatma Gandhi- Father of nation. So to help them out and volunteer our time for swachhta abhiyaan, We planned to clean and create cleanliness awareness at Dadar station. We spoke to Dadar Central Railway Station director Savan sir to organize for the cleanliness drive, and they were glad that we had taken the initiative to do so and were given a positive response for the project. 2018-2019
27th September 2018 Commerce Forum Mr. Abhijeit Bhosale As part of its extra-curricular activities, SIES-C&E organised its annual career guidance festival, 'DISHA-The Edu-tainment Fiesta.' Through Disha, we strive to provide a platform to enrich the lives of the youth by educating them about the myriad career opportunities- mainstream and off beat by conducting a relevant seminars and workshops. Apart from this, we also organised various competitions to provide interested students with a platform to exhibit their skills and talents, and be judged. These competitions were infused with trends of the day, and a criterion which put to test the participants' aesthetic, physical, mental, ethical and vocational skills. This year, Disha was scheduled for 27-28th September 2018. With the innauguration and internship fair being held on the 26th September. Disha 2018 embraced the dawn of new age careers to help students gain a competitive edge and to make them aware of the resources at hand to achieve efficiency and potential. 2018-2019

Instead of focusing on global peace, we focused on peace in our country, after all charity begins at home.
